Pasta with Sardines (for reluctant fish cooks)

2 Tbsp olive oil
1 diced yellow onion
3 garlic cloves, minced
pinch of red chili flakes
14 oz crushed or diced tomatoes
1/3 cup golden raisins
zest and juice of 1 orange (optional)
3 cans of whole bone-in, skin-on sardines (about 12 oz total)
1/4 cup pine nuts (or slivered almonds)
2 Tbsp minced parsley
2-3 Tbsp butter
1 Tbsp lemon juice
Salt and pepper to taste
Cooked pasta (enough for 4 servings)

How much pasta do you consider 4 servings?
It depends on how hungry you are ;) I'd say, 8-10 oz of dry pasta would serve 4. Most pasta boxes are 16 oz. So that's half the box or a bit more.
