The Sous-Chef Has Arrived!

Samantha Lyra Rennie was born on July 7, 2007 at 7:07 EST. She weighed in at exactly 3 kilograms (6 lbs., 9.8 oz.). She and mommy are learning how to breastfeed together.

  12. It was 8:07 local time (EDT). One of the nurses noted "It's 7:07 in Chicago". I looked at the clock, and, yes, exactly 8:07. I couldn't resist telling everyone that it was 7:07 eastern standard/central daylight :-)

    Phew -- Sammy is fed and changed and I am taking a little break :)

    Yes, we are huge Pullman fans. That's where the name Lyra comes from.

    Tonight is her 1 week birthday. Jason and I are celebrating with medium-rare burgers (the only thing I denied myself in pregnancy ;)
